History of COATEC

In September 1989 COATEC GmbH was founded by a team of specialists for plasma/surface technologies as well as construction of the necessary plasma spraying plants. Before that time this team was employed at LEYBOLD AG in Hanau, Germany, where they handled the construction of plasma spraying plants.

For several years some of the team members collected intensive experience in this technology at MTU in Munich/Germany and Chromalloy/USA, prior to working at LEYBOLD.

COATEC provides the market with optimal and industrial-scale (contract) coating capacities.

COATEC is an expanding high-tech company with international orientation in the field of surface refining and we belong completely to 
Praxair Surface Technologies Inc. (PST) since the beginning of 1997.
